Invite:
For a new account, you’ll need an invitation. There are 2 options:
1. You can request an invitation. Visit www.pinterest.com, click “Request an Invite,” and enter your email address to be notified when you have access to create your account.
2. Or you can ask a friend who already has a Pinterest account to invite you – a much quicker way to gain access.
Accept Invite:
Find the invite email from Pinterest, click the “Accept Invite” button. This will take you to the Create Account page on the Pinterest website.
Create Account:
Choose either sign-up with Facebook or Twitter. (One of these is required to create an account. Once the account is created, you can unlink this.)
Once you’ve linked your account to Facebook or Twitter, you’ll then be directed back to the Pinterest website and asked for a username (no symbols or spaces), email and password. Click the “Create Account” button.
Interests/People to Follow:
Choose the topics that interest you so they can suggest people to follow. Click “Follow People.” Pinterest will automatically choose people you’re following based on your interests. You’ll also be following any of your Facebook friends who are on Pinterest. Click “Create Boards.”
Create Boards:
Pinterest will suggest 5 boards to create. You can change these titles or use the default. You can also add more boards here. When finished, click “Create.”
Verify Email:
Check your email to verify your email address. Click the “Verify Email” button. This will take you to your profile page.
Complete Profile:
You can optimize your profile by writing a description, editing your profile, adding links (website, Twitter), etc.
